Hypnotherapy

Would you like to change a habit, improve an area of your life where you feel stuck, or become more free of stress, anxiety, or trauma? Most people enjoy how easy hypnosis is, and how well it works even on problems they've had for a long time.

We naturally go into trance in everyday life. It's a very natural state of mind, although we don't usually call it hypnosis. All of us have been so absorbed in thought while reading a book, driving down a highway, or watching a favorite television show that we fail to notice what is happening around us. While we were zoned out, another level of consciousness, which we refer to as our subconscious mind, took over. These are very focused states of attention, similar to hypnosis.

Clinical hypnosis is a relaxed state of mind achieved through inner absorption, concentration, and focused attention. The worrying mind is able to get out of the way so the change that is needed becomes clear and possible. You only accept the suggestions that are meaningful to you, and you will never do anything that is against your will. Hypnosis is controlled by you, not the therapist, and in this sense, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis.

Used along with psychotherapy, hypnotherapy is a powerful tool intended to:
  • Ease emotional and physical pain.
  • Change, improve, or eliminate unwanted habits and behaviors.
  • Change negative attitudes into positive ones.
  • Manage anxiety and depression.
  • Heal trauma and abuse.
  • Support weight release.
  • Help quit smoking.
  • Explore the subconscious mind to better understand whether past events or experiences are associated with present problems.

In addition, hypnotic trance is an experiential space from which new perspectives of reality can be created. So it is an especially helpful vehicle for supporting the journey of consciousness that is at the heart of a meaningful life. This journey is about going beyond where you've ever been by creating new positive realities, transforming consciousness, healing emotional wounds, and evolving to higher states of consciousness. The result is greater happiness, health, and the healing of self and significant others. Hypnotherapy supports the integration of the conscious and creative subconscious minds, so that transformation is possible.
